Thanks to all those who attended and made the class so successful. Judging by the response we received yesterday, I feel that the Southernmost FOOLS is on its way to becoming a very successful chapter. Stay tuned for pics from the class and the date, time and location of our next meeting.

Southernmost FOOLS
The Southernmost FOOLS is proud to present Fireground Safety by Bill Gustin. The class is five hours and will include lunch at the Firehouse Cafe (which is located on the premises). Proceeds from the event will go to Amber Seifert, Captain Chuck Seifert’s daughter who will be traveling to Boston to undergo multiple heart surgeries over the next weeks and months. They need our help.

After donating, print and keep a receipt as this will be your ticket for entrance into the class. You will receive vouchers for breakfast and lunch the day of the event.

IN TODAYS FIRE SERVICE, AS FIREFIGHTERS, WE CANNOT OPERATE AT EVERY FIRE AND EVERY OCCUPANCY WITH THE SAME INTENSITY, DURATION, STRATEGIES, TACTICS AND LEVEL OF RISK. THIS CLASS WILL CONSIST OF 5 HRS OF INFORMATION THAT WILL BRING TO LIGHT NEW CONSTRUCTION RISKS AND FIRE GROUND DANGERS THAT ARE NOT OBVIOUS AT FIRST GLANCE. THIS CLASS IS NOT ABOUT WEARING FIRE GLOVES AND SAFETY VESTS, IT’S ABOUT REAL LIFE, REALISTIC INFORMATION THAT WILL ALLOW YOU TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MINIMUM STANDARDS.
SPEAKER: CAPT. BILL GUSTIN, MIAMI DADE FIRE DEPARTMENT AERIAL 2, IS A 35 YR VETERAN OF THE FIRE SERVICE WHO HAS TAUGHT FIRE TACTICS AND STRATEGIES RANGING FROM FORCIBLE ENTRY TO SHIP BOARD FIREFIGHTING ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.
